So pretty! this All Things Europe blog gives me serious wanderlust
Finding that perfect album is like falling in love. You’ve been waiting for it for so long and now it’s finally here. You have it in your hands and just before you put it on, you feel that rush and your heart is racing. You hear that first sound, first verse, and it hits you. You’re flooded with this new music and everything is so fresh and exciting. You can’t get enough of the album. You listen to it every day. And every time you discover something new. The way a melody is executed, or a certain word is sung, or that perfect lyric. The little things that are making you fall in love with it more and more. You love that understanding this music gives you. Like you can come to it with every problem and the music will always be there to love you for who you are, to help and give advice. It’s there for better or worse. You can’t say exactly what it is that makes you love it so much. Even if you would talk about it for hours, no words can describe it. You grow up with it and you grow stronger and wiser. It changes you for the better. You want to live up to this music, to its message. Then one day there comes that moment when you can say with all certainty “I love this album and it will stay with me for the rest of my life”.

My incredibly awesome boss just took me out to lunch to tell me she has been offered another job & has taken it. I’m gutted. She’ll still be in our office but won’t be my boss anymore.
She is the best boss I have ever had & I have loved working with her the last 4 months. I’m so happy for her though because it’s an amazing opportunity but the little selfish part of me is really sad & trying not to cry (although the crying could also be attributed to the fact that I have a cold & have barely slept the last 2 nights. No sleep makes me a tad emotional). I just have to hope that the friendship we have developed will continue as she has almost become like a 2nd mother to me & understands things about me that my own mother has always struggled to understand.
On a lighter note, how cute is this?! my 4yr old nephew was playing doctor & decided his new baby brother needed glasses.
Those 2 boys make my heart swell.
The sadness you feel when someone you love is in pain and all you want to do is comfort them but they don’t even know you exist really sucks.
Sending all my love and positive thoughts their way anyway…
2nd day of Autumn and already the weather has turned to shit!
Whenever it’s rainy & cold, I get this overwhelming urge to put my PJ’s on, sit on the couch & watch movies or get lost in a book.
Thank God it’s Saturday so I can do just that!
